Discovery HD Launches in Hong Kong

HONG KONG, January 14: Discovery Networks Asia will roll out
Discovery HD, its high-definition network, on PCCW’s now TV platform in Hong
Kong on January 31.

The launch of Discovery HD in Hong Kong expands the
channel’s footprint to 15 international markets, including South Korea, Japan,
Canada, Germany, Austria, Ireland, the U.K., Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark,
Sweden, Norway, Finland and Singapore. The channel will be available in Hong
Kong for a monthly fee.

The channel offers exclusive programs from Discovery’s
library of high-definition content, which represents 29 television brands.
Discovery HD provides independently programmed schedules in each market, with
titles including Space Station HD, Sunrise
Earth
, Moments in Time, Monumental Vision and Destination Wilderness.
