Discovery Consumer Products Appoints VP of Global Lifestyle & Retail

NEW YORK: Ricky Li, who previously worked at Aeropostale, has joined Discovery Consumer Products as the VP of global lifestyle and retail.

In his new role, Li will be responsible for creating a strategy for Discovery’s growth in the global lifestyle brands market. Li will also oversee key fashion, lifestyle and soft lines strategies across apparel, accessories, footwear and home categories. He will report to Leigh Anne Brodsky, the executive VP of Discovery Global Enterprises.

Li joins Discovery Communications from Aeropostale, where he spent the past six years leading their global business development and international expansion across Asia, the Middle East, South America, Europe and North America. Prior to Aeropostale, he held leadership roles at Sketchers, Gap, LeSportsac and Christian Dior Couture.

“With more than 20 years experience in the industry, Ricky has a proven track record of defining and developing global brands,” said Brodsky. “His strategic expertise in driving growth with top fashion and lifestyle partners will be invaluable as Discovery continues to launch and expand global lifestyle brands.”
