LOS ANGELES: The level of pre-registrations for DISCOP West Asia has already exceeded last year’s figures, putting the market on pace to welcome a 20-percent increase in attendance.

Expanded market and networking areas are expected to host more than 150 international distributors and producers alongside more than 200 stations, pay-TV platforms and territorial agents. International umbrellas will include pavilions representing France, Malaysia and the U.K. The event is also running an expanded conference program that features sessions dedicated to the power of drama programming in Muslim countries, regional co-productions, the cross-border potential of Arab TV formats and partnership opportunities in Latin America.

Patrick Zuchowicki, the general manager of The DISCOP Organization, commented, “Despite the current political uncertainties, the ongoing growth of DISCOP West Asia since its launch three years ago proves the important role television continues to play in this difficult world.”
