Diana Howie Promoted at UKTV

LONDON, February 1: Diana Howie has been promoted to the
role of acting head of commissioning at UKTV, following Jo Clinton-Davis’s
decision to join ITV.

Howie will be responsible for the company’s commissioning
strategy and leading the team charged with commissioning more than 700 hours of
programming per annum across the network’s portfolio of ten channels.

Currently serving as commissioning executive, Howie
specializes in high-end entertainment and lifestyle commissions. Prior to
joining UKTV in 2003, she worked for Cactus TV as senior executive producer.

“Commissioning cut-through
programming in an increasingly cluttered multichannel world is crucial to
achieving our long term commercial objectives,” said John Keeling, the interim
CEO at UKTV, to whom Howie will report. “Diana’s
experience and skills, combined with her track record of creating hit shows for
UKTV, make her ideal for this key role.”
