Desperate Housewives Star Sues Marc Cherry

LOS ANGELES: Nicollette Sheridan, who played Edie Britt on Desperate Housewives, is suing the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, alleging assault and wrongful termination.

Reports indicate that the suit was filed yesterday in Los Angeles. Sheridan is seeking $20 million in damages. She alleges that Cherry hit her in the face on the show’s set in 2008 after she questioned a line in the script. In addition, the actress contends, when she reported the incident ABC, Cherry killed off her character. Sheridan maintains that Cherry was aggressive and abusive towards cast members and writers.
