Deal or No Deal Commissioned in Ireland

LONDON: Endemol UK has received a prime-time commission from Irish broadcaster TV3 for a local version of the hit game show Deal or No Deal, which will be produced in association with the Irish National Lottery.

The 20×1-hour show will be presented by hypnotist Keith Barry. Contestants gain entry to the game show exclusively through the National Lottery’s Deal or No Deal scratch card. With this card, they also have the chance to win instant cash prizes from 5 euros to 25,000 euros. The prime-time series will air weekly from November 13.

Richard Hague, the executive producer for Endemol UK, commented: "We’re delighted to be working with TV3 and the Irish National Lottery. I’m looking forward to seeing how The Banker fares against the luck of the Irish."
