TORONTO: Sony Pictures Television has licensed the new CBS midseason comedy Mad Love to CTV for launch February 14.

The Canadian broadcaster will simulcast Mad Love with CBS on Valentine’s Day at 8:30 p.m. The series, about a twenty-something couple in love and their cynical best friends who despise each other, will follow the new Matthew Perry and Allison Janney comedy Mr. Sunshine. Beginning February 17, Mad Love will also air on The Comedy Network, and will be available on demand. The midseason replacement sees Hot in Cleveland moving to Thursdays on CTV beginning February 24 to air alongside The Big Bang Theory.

“Matt Tarses and Jamie Tarses have assembled an incredibly talented and engaging ensemble cast," said Mike Cosentino, senior VP of programming at CTV Networks. "Mad Love has great potential and could be the next breakout comedy. It is the perfect addition to our Monday night comedy block."
