CSI Drives Profit Gains at Alliance Atlantis

TORONTO, November 10: International second-window sales of
the CSI franchise helped Alliance
Atlantis boost its third-quarter profits to C$17.7 million from C$12.2 million.

"We are exceptionally pleased with the performance of
the CSI franchise and the previously
announced licensing of certain international second window rights, which
demonstrate the strong interest of CSI around the world," said Phyllis Yaffe, the CEO of Alliance
Atlantis. "In our broadcasting business, we were pleased with continued
strong subscriber revenue gains as well as strong audience growth. While
advertising revenue was down slightly year over year, we are pacing well in the
fourth quarter and in 2007 we believe advertising revenue will increase in line
with the Canadian specialty television market expectations. Over the past 12
months, our advertising revenue is up 7 percent."

Broadcasting revenue was up 4 percent to C$66.7 million.
Subscriber revenue grew by 10 percent to C$33 million in the quarter, and
advertising revenue decreased slightly to C$32.1 million from C$33 million.

In the Entertainment segment, CSI revenues almost tripled to
C$140.2 million. Licensing revenues from the remainder of the company’s
catalogue, however, brought in just C$9.6 million compared to $16.6 million in
the prior year's period.
