Cookie Jar Sheds TELETOON Stake

MONTREAL, July 13: The Cookie Jar Group has offloaded its
20-percent stake in the TELETOON network to Astral Media and Corus
Entertainment for C$96 million.

Astral and Corus each picked up a 10-percent stake, bringing
their respective shares up to 50 percent each. The deal is subject to approval
by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).

Launched in 1997, the English- and French-language TELETOON
reaches more than 3 million Canadian kids aged 2 to 11 and is available in
almost 7 million homes.
