Content Media, Palatin Media to Rep Date My Dad

MUNICH/LONDON: Content Media Corporation and Palatin Media have secured joint international distribution for Date My Dad, a brand-new original comedy-drama series starring Raquel Welch that will premiere on UP TV in the U.S. later this year.

The ten-part series, which will be co-produced by Content Media and Bernd Schlötterer’s Palatin Media as part of the agreement, is currently in production by 50˚ North in association with EveryWhere Studios. Date My Dad is the latest title to be launched through the distribution partnership between Content Media Corporation and Palatin Media. It will launch in the global marketplace at MIPTV.

Starring Barry Watson (Samantha Who?, 7th Heaven, Hart of Dixie) and Welch (One Million Years B.C., The Three Musketeers), Date My Dad tells the story of a single father raising three daughters with the help of his mother-in-law (Welsh). Watson portrays Ricky Cooper, a former professional baseball player whose world comes crashing down when his wife dies. When his mother-in-law announces she is moving away, Ricky’s daughters decide to help their father get back in the dating game.

Date My Dad is produced by Charles Lyall and executive produced by 50˚ North’s Sacha McLean, Jason McLean, David McLean and Brenda McLean, along with EveryWhere Studios’ Dan Angel and Tom Mazza, Bernd Schlötterer for Palatin Media and Greg Phillips for Content Media. The series is created, written and executive produced by Nina Colman.
