LOS ANGELES: Content has sold Hard Boiled Sweets to Universal Pictures International Entertainment in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Benelux and Scandinavia following the acquisition of worldwide rights to the film earlier this year.

Hard Boiled Sweets, written and directed by David LG Hughes, is a crime thriller starring Scot Williams (The Crew), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Long Good Friday, Hot Fuzz), Peter Wight (Another Year, Hot Fuzz), Ian Hart (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Finding Neverland, Michael Collins), Elizabeth Berrington (In Bruges, Secrets and Lies), Laura Greenwood (The Brothers Grimm) and Philip Barantini (Band of Brothers, Ned Kelly). The film is about an ex-con who is forced into pulling a heist he wants nothing to do with. It is produced by Hughes and executive produced by Margaret Matheson (Skin Sleep Furiously, Sid and Nancy, Scum).
