Connected Creativity Unveils Lineup

PARIS: The Connected Creativity Forum at MIPTV has scheduled a lineup of international speakers that includes executives from Facebook, FremantleMedia, BBC’s Global iPlayer and BitTorrent, among others.

Hans Vestberg, the president and CEO of Ericsson, will present the inaugural Connected Creativity keynote. Other speakers slated include Christian Hernandez Gallardo, the head of international business development at Facebook; Claire Tavernier, the senior executive VP for FMX and worldwide drama at FremantleMedia; Luke Bradley-Jones, the managing director of BBC.com and Global iPlayer at the BBC; Mika Salmi, the chairman of the board at Sulake (Habbo Hotel); and Eric Klinker, the president and CEO of BitTorrent. The roster also features Kevin Slavin, co-founder of Starling & Area/Code; Tomi Ahonen, the author of The Insider’s Guide to Mobile; Nick Thomas, an analyst for consumer product strategy at Forrester Research; Susan Greenfield, the author of Tomorrow’s People: How 21st Century Technology is Changing the Way We Think and Feel; Ned Sherman, the CEO and publisher of Digital Media Wire; Matt Mason, the author of The Pirate’s Dilemma; and Robert Tercek, the founder of Collaborative Creativity.

Organized in partnership with the mobile industry association GSMA, the three-day event will feature high-level conferences and networking sessions, dedicated to executives in the technology, mobile media and entertainment arenas. The inaugural CC Ventures competition will feature 12 finalists that have received the opportunity to pitch their projects to an international jury during a two-hour competition on April 6. The jury members are Jean Bourcereau, general partner at Ventech; Megumi Ikeda, the executive director of Comcast Interactive Capital; Dharmash Mistry, VC partner at Balderton Capital; Karen Noel, partner for TMT legal advisory at Morgan Lewis; and Peter M. Read, an investor, entrepreneur and advisor. The deadline for entries is February 28, with the finalists to be announced in March.
