NEW YORK: MTV Networks Entertainment Group (MTVNE) is launching 345 Games as a new video-gaming arm for Comedy Central and Spike TV.

The new gaming unit will focus on developing products based on Comedy Central and Spike TV brands. The first two titles to be released under the new label are for Comedy Central’s animated show Ugly Americans and Spike TV’s Deadliest Warrior. Deadliest Warrior already has a video-game spinoff, Deadliest Warrior: The Game, which has sold nearly 400,000 downloads on Xbox 360 and PlayStation.

Comedy Central and Spike TV squarely target the video game audience. Our Deadliest Warrior gaming franchise exploded out of the gate last season,” said Dan Yang, the senior VP of strategy and business development at  MTVNE and general manager at 345 Games. “With the launch of 345 Games, we are tapping into the passionate fan base of both Comedy Central and Spike and creating an enhanced interactive experience based on our hit shows and brands.”
