LONDON: Channel 4’s 4Rights has secured a volume deal with Irish commercial broadcaster TV3 for more than 150 hours of Come Dine with Me

TV3 acquired seasons one through six of the show, plus the peak series and eight celebrity specials, totaling 159 hours. The follows a previous deal with ITV Studios for a local version of the series to air on TV3 later this year. Come Dine with Me watches amateur chefs as they compete for the title of ultimate dinner party host.

Ben Frow, the director of programming at TV3, said: “Ireland is in a frenzy of excitement as Come Dine with Me reaches these shores, with both completed U.K. episodes and its own version at last. We are delighted that TV3 has managed to secure this exceptional property and I have no doubt it will prove to be a ratings juggernaut.”

Alison Sainsbury-Stack, 4Rights’ head of U.K. secondary broadcast sales, added: “This is our first major deal with TV3 and I hope this will mark the beginning of a strong partnership with the channel with several projects in discussion. Come Dine with Me is a hugely successful brand for Channel 4 and I’m sure it will prove to be just as popular with viewers in Ireland.”
