CNN Bags First Post-Prison Hilton Interview

LOS ANGELES, June 25: Paris Hilton will give her first
post-jail interview on Larry King Live
on CNN this week.

The news of the CNN appearance follows reports that both ABC
and NBC had been in talks with Hilton and her family. ABC claimed it had been
outbid by a six-figure offer from NBC, which denied that it had offered the
heiress $1 million dollars to appear on the Today show. Both networks later told Hilton’s people they
were no longer interested in the interview, wire reports indicate. CBS News,
too, reportedly passed on the opportunity.

Hilton said in a statement: "I am thrilled that Larry
King has asked me to appear on his program to discuss my experience in jail,
what I have learned, how I have grown and anything else he wants to talk about.
Larry King is not only a world-renown journalist, but a true American icon. It
will be an honor to do his show."

Hilton is set be released from jail tomorrow after serving
about half of her 45-day sentence for violating probation. Hilton was caught
driving with a suspended license not long after being busted for driving under
the influence. She is slated to make her Larry King Live appearance on Wednesday.
