Claxson Offloads Chilean Radio Operations

BUENOS AIRES, August 3: Claxson has completed the sale of IberoAmerican
Radio Chile to Spain’s Grupo Prisa for $74.6 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, Prisa’s Unión Radio takes
control of all of the radio networks of IberoAmerican Radio Chile (Pudahuel FM,
Rock & Pop, Corazon, FM Dos, Concierto, Futuro, FM Hit and Imagina).

Augusto Delkáder, the CEO of Unión Radio, said, “This deal
will help to develop the quality of radio broadcasting in Chile and will mean a
step forward for the consolidation of the largest Spanish-speaking radio
station network worldwide.”

Unión Radio is the largest radio group in Spanish-speaking
markets, with more than 1,200 broadcasters, both owned and affiliated, in
Spain, the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina and Chile,
reaching over 28 million listeners.
