Classic Media Appoints Brand Development, Promotions Exec

NEW YORK, September 19:
Classic Media, an Entertainment Rights subsidiary, has appointed Lara Dalch,
previously with Cartoon Network, as the senior director of brand development
and promotions for its operations in North America.

Based at the company’s
North American headquarters in New York, Dalch will report to Nicole Blake, the
senior VP of marketing. In her new role, she will oversee multiplatform
partnerships and promotions for Classic Media’s extensive portfolio of family
entertainment brands, including Casper the Friendly Ghost, George of the
Jungle, Where’s Waldo?
and
Gumby
. Working in tandem with home
video promotions, Dalch will round out an expanded partnership team that will
support the growth and visibility of the company’s brands. Existing partners
include AFLAC, Sterling Optical, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and the U.S. Postal
Service. Further, Dalch will develop promotional partnerships to support the
successful faith-based brand VeggieTales from Big Idea, also an Entertainment Rights subsidiary.

Prior to joining Classic
Media, Lara Dalch was the director of promotions marketing for Cartoon Network
and Adult Swim, where she drove multiplatform partnerships with national brands
like Campbell’s, Pepsi, Kraft, Verizon Wireless and Hasbro, and was
instrumental in building Adult Swim’s successful Burger King “Have It Your Way
Sweepstakes” promotion. Previously she held various roles in marketing and
promotions for Comedy Central, supporting The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, among other network programs.
