Classic Appoints New Licensing Manager

NEW YORK, March 13:
Classic Media, an Entertainment Rights Group company, has appointed Colin
McLaughlin to the position of licensing manager, effective immediately.

As licensing manager at
Classic Media, McLaughlin will be responsible for building partnerships in
North America with key licensees and retailers and leveraging the company’s
portfolio of children’s and family properties, including Casper the Friendly
Ghost
, George of the Jungle, Guess with Jess, Gumby,
Underdog and Where’s Waldo? He is based in the company’s New York headquarters.

Previously, McLaughlin was
the senior manager of brand licensing for Steve & Barry's, where he
negotiated contracts, managed the product development process and achieved
revenue growth through creative in-store marketing, merchandising, sweepstakes
and events.

“Colin is an extremely
talented and creative licensing professional,” said Karyn Schneider, the VP of
licensing, to whom he reports. “His experience in building trend-driven
licensing programs will further strengthen the presence of our brands at
retail. We are delighted to have Colin join our growing licensing team.”
