CITV Recommissions The Cool Stuff Collective

LONDON: Archie Productions has been tapped by CITV and ITV Breakfast to produce a further 26 episodes of the hit kids’ series The Cool Stuff Collective.

A total of 26 22-minute episodes are to be produced. Of the new installments, 14 will air from now until April and 12 will run from October to Christmas. The series airs on CITV on ITV1 on Saturdays at 9 a.m. and Sundays at 7:55 a.m., with encores airing on the dedicated CITV channel. The studio-based magazine show is aimed at 7- to 12-year-olds. The show features road tests of anything kids might want to own, consume, watch, download or play.

Jamila Metran, CITV’s program manager, said: “The Cool Stuff Collective has received a great response from our core audience and has proven to be a format that works well for this age group. We’re looking forward to the new series, collaborating with Archie Productions and we welcome the show’s sponsor Hasbro.”

John A. Marley, the creative director at Archie Productions, added: “We’re thrilled to be asked to make more programs by CITV. We’ve tried to be as imaginative as possible on the show and its obviously working. We’ll continue to keep kids at the heart of everything we do and the new series will be bigger and more exciting.
