Cineflix Studios Names Executive VP

LOS ANGELES: Cineflix Studios has appointed Miura Kite to the role of executive VP.

Kite, the former head of development at The Playtone Company, will be responsible for overseeing development in the U.S. and the scripted side of Cineflix’s Los Angeles office. She will report to Christina Wayne, the president of Cineflix Studios.

“I’m thrilled to have Miura join Cineflix Studios’ push into the scripted series business,” Wayne said. “I’ve always admired her taste and ability to craft material. Miura’s experience on such phenomenal shows such as The Pacific and Big Love made it clear that she fits perfectly with our mandate of quality programming.”

At her former position at The Playtone Company, Kite oversaw television, film and emerging media projects. She was co-producer on the upcoming HBO film Game Change and HBO’s mini-series The Pacific. She also served as development executive on Where the Wild Things Are, five seasons of the HBO series Big Love, City of Ember, Mamma Mia!, the mini-series John Adams, Charlie Wilson’s War, Starter for 10, The Ant Bully and The Polar Express.
