Cineflix Preps 50 New Programming Hours

MONTREAL, August 27: Cineflix Productions has announced more
than 50 new hours of original productions for broadcasters in the U.K., Canada
and the U.S.

Returning series green-lit for production include a second
season of the 10×1-hour docudrama True CSI, for Five and Discovery Channel Canada; Monster Moves, co-produced with Windfall Films for broadcast by
Five, Discovery Channel Canada and National Geographic Channels International;
and Mayday: Science of Disaster, commissioned
by National Geographic Channels International and Discovery Channel Canada,
which follows after five successful seasons of Mayday.

Also being green-lit is The World’s Greenest Homes, a new long-running series for HGTV Canada and
Discovery’s Planet Green. The series travels the globe in search of the world’s
most spectacular eco-friendly homes.

The one-hour series Austin Stevens Adventures, a co-production with Tigress Productions for Five,
Discovery Channel Canada and Animal Planet, follows wildlife adventurer Austin
Stevens as he examines exotic and dangerous animals.

Cooler Facts, commissioned
by Discovery Channel Canada to premiere on its broadband channel, represents an
innovative new format in which each 30-minute episode features a collection of
short films that delve into science’s coolest facts.
