Cineflix Closes Scandinavian Deals

LONDON, May 22: Cineflix
International has secured a range of deals with nine Scandinavian broadcasters
for more than 500 hours of in-house and third-party productions.

Finland’s Nelonen picked
up 224 hours worth of programming, including Naked Fashion, seasons one through four of Wedding SOS, season two of Border Security and the first two seasons of Unsellables. Nelonen also took on the first three seasons of Property
Virgins
, season two of Colin
and Justin’s Home Heist
and
seasons one through three of Birth Stories and Birth Days. The deal also includes Kim’s Rude Awakening, Final 24, Baby Squad and Animal
Rescue
.

Also for Finland, MTV3
bought up World’s Greenest Homes and
Eco House Challenge, while YLE
took on season three of Mega Moves.

Over in Sweden, TV4
purchased Cold Blood, season
two of Psychic Investigators,
seasons three and four of Medical Emergency, the seventh season of Mayday, the second season of Mayday Science of
Disaster
, Kim’s Rude Awakening, the first two seasons of Animal House, Final 24 and season three of Mega Moves. Sweden’s Kanal 5 took on World’s Greenest Homes as well as the first three seasons of Border
Security
.

Norway’s TV Norge acquired
Kim’s Rude Awakening, World’s
Greenest Homes
and Colin and
Justin’s Home Heist
, while Viasat
4 picked up seasons one and two of Mayday, Urban Legends and Trapped.

Meanwhile, in Denmark, TV3
snapped up the first season of Urban Legends, while DR TV took on Trapped, Russian Revolution in Colour and Fascism in Colour.

Sandra Piha, the company’s
sales manager for Scandinavia, commented: “We’ve had tremendous success in an
incredibly competitive region due to the high caliber of programming we’re both
producing and acquiring. With over 20 series in production and several new,
quality third-party acquisitions, this is a very exciting time for Cineflix
International.”
