Challenge Secures Deal for Mr World Event

LONDON, May 24: In an exclusive deal with the Miss World
Organization and Zeal Television, Challenge, the Virgin Media-owned game show
entertainment channel, will bring the first-ever broadcast of the two-hour
final of the Mr World event to U.K. television this June.

The Mr World final will premiere on Sunday, June 3, at 6
p.m. The final took place on March 31. Mr World 2007 searches for the world’s
most desirable man in the ultimate contest of strength, stamina and style as
men from each continent sweat it out in Sanya, China to win the coveted title.
The broadcast fits into Challenge’s all-around family entertainment programming
strategy, and follows Challenge’s ratings success with Miss World 2006, which
saw a 125 percent increase on the channel’s slot average for the 2-hour live
final event in September.

Celia Taylor, the director of programs for Bravo, Trouble
and Challenge, said: “Challenge always loves a bit of glamour and we're really
excited about being the first channel to bring Mr World to U.K. audiences. It's
a match made in heaven alongside Miss World later in the year and firmly
cements Challenge’s as the home of the biggest beauty pageant franchise in the
world.”
