CBS Slates New Dance Competition

NEW YORK: A new reality competition series is headed to CBS, Got to Dance, based on the hit British show that sees dancers of all ages, styles and group-size compete to become the country’s top act. 

Got to Dance has been a ratings hit on Sky 1. The show watches as amateur dancers from across the nation, performing either solo or with a group, audition in any performance style—ballroom, breakdancing, bhangra, ballet, tap, tango, etc. The most talented and entertaining will be invited to audition in front of a panel of judges who are all world-class dancers. The best of that group will perform live in the semi-finals and finals, where viewers will vote to choose the champion.

A Shine Group format, Got to Dance is created by Princess Productions and Shine TV and is produced by Reveille. Elisabeth Murdoch, Howard Owens, Mark Koops and Robin Ashbrook are executive producers, and the series is distributed by Shine International.
