CBeebies Commissions Original Series from Darrall Macqueen

LONDON: Darrall Macqeen has landed a commission from CBeebies for an original comedy entertainment series for preschoolers, Magic Baby.

The series mixes live action and 2D photographic animation. The series sees the teaming of Darrall Macqueen and JAM Media for the first time. Magic Baby follows Baby Jake, the youngest of 10 children, who lives in a windmill. His 6-year-old brother, Isaac, is the series’ narrator, who can understand all Baby Jake’s giggles and gurgles. He opens the door to an imaginary world where Baby Jake sings, dances and baby-talks with his animal friends.

Maddy Darrall, the joint managing director at Darrall Macqueen, added, “Magic Baby is all about gentle enchanting storytelling with carefully crafted humor that will resonate universally with preschoolers.”
