Cathy Malatesta, Bryan Taw Launch New Venture

LOS ANGELES, April 1:
Lawless Entertainment is a new venture set up by Catherine Malatesta and Bryan
Taw that will be at MIPTV next week offering up content from My Media
Entertainment, founded by Spelling Television veterans Kenneth Miller and Gail
Patterson.

Malatesta and Taw are
positioning Lawless as a creator, co-producer, distributor and marketer of
animated and live-action fare for film and TV. It is developing relationships
with leading film, television, home video, online and
mobile distribution entities throughout the world, offering up services like
raising production financing, distributing finished product on multiple
platforms, and handling licensing and merchandising campaigns.

Lawless has
recently entered into a representation deal with My Media Entertainment, led by
Kenneth Miller and Gail Patterson, who
were part of the Spelling Television empire for more than two decades. Together
they were involved in more than 3,000 hours of television production including Dynasty, The Love Boat, Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place and 7th Heaven. Collectively they have worked on more than 60
series and 40-plus movies, as well as executive producing 14 soundtracks.

At MIPTV, Lawless will be
offering a range of content from My Media, across the drama, action/adventure,
game show and reality programming genres.
