CASBAA Turns Focus on Online Video in China

HONG KONG: CASBAA is putting the spotlight on online video in China with a closed-door event on March 2 at the News Plaza Hotel in Beijing.

CASBAA’s Online Video in China event is co-organized with CMMI. During the day-long conference, where Chinese and global content developers and service providers will share data on issues of importance, including intellectual property rights, the "Great Firewall” of China and how to monetize ad-supported “No Subscription” services. Delegates will have the chance to discuss the potential, challenges, policies and regulations for online video in China.

Among the initial confirmed speakers for Online Video in China are Zu Chen, the VP of content and chief editor of Tudou.com; Johannes Larcher, the senior VP of international at Hulu; Jeanette Chan, partner at Paul Weiss; Graham Kill, the CEO at Irdeto; William Pfeiffer, the CEO at Tiger Gate; and Huang Xinquan, the director of content cooperation and marketing for mobile TV at China Radio International.
