CAKE Sells Oscar’s Oasis to New Broadcasters

CANNES: A host of territories worldwide are going to see the debut of Oscar’s Oasis, as CAKE has scored a range of deals covering territories such as Canada, Russia and the Middle East. 

Set in the desert, the cartoon is a CAKE, TeamTO, Tuba Entertainment and TF1 co-production. New broadcasters on board for the series, geared toward 6- to 11-year-olds, include Cartoon Network Latin America, PT CIPTA TPI (Indonesia), Société Radio-Canada (Canada), 2×2 Channel (Russia), YLE (Finland), ATV (Turkey), S4C Wales (Wales), SVT (Sweden), QTV (Ukraine), MBC (the Middle East) and SFDRS (Switzerland).

Ed Galton, the CCO and managing director at CAKE, said: “Oscar’s Oasis is a fun and quirky series. These global sales are indicative of the demand for high-quality animation around the world and we look forward to developing our relationship with all these broadcast partners.”
