CABLEready Completes Deals Throughout Asia

NORWALK,
November 13: CABLEready has sold 66 hours of programming to TV outlets in China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and New
Zealand.

Thailand’s UBC
picked up two CABLEready reality series: Multiples, Multiples, which looks at how four families cope
with multiple births, and Risk Takers about rescue teams and the technology they use. UBC
also picked up additional episodes of two true-crime series: 15 hours of Forensic
Files
and five hours of
Accident Investigator.

Fox Channel
in Korea bought 20 episodes of the TV Guide
Channel-produced Infanity, an inside look at such current TV series as CSI: Miami, Las Vegas, and House; and the Chinese distributor Leland
International acquired Swarms!, which examines the adversarial relationship between humans and
pests, and On The Inside, which profiles the real lives of Wall Street traders,
cheerleaders, and Air Force test pilots.

In Japan, the
distributor MICO acquired another 6 hours of the hit celebrity series Inside
The Actors Studio
for
airing on NHK, including interviews with Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino and Tom
Hanks; and

New Zealand’s
Documentary Channel picked up the offbeat travel series, Julian &
Camilla’s World Odyssey
.
