Buongiorno Acquires Inventa

LONDON, January 30: The British arm of the digital
entertainment outfit Buongiorno has acquired the mobile content production firm
Inventa for £1 million.

Inventa was co-founded by the British digital marketing
agency Profero, the marketing group Slice and BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong in 2003.
Last year Inventa produced more than 2,300 minutes of original video clips for
interactive music, lifestyle and entertainment mobile shows featuring Tong as
well as other personalities, including Jamie Oliver and DJ Roger Sanchez. Among
Inventa’s productions is Fast Trax,
Tong’s weekly music series that is available on mobile platform 3.

Buongiorno, citing research company MMetrics, says there are
approximately 15 million mobile entertainment consumers in the U.K. and more
than 20 percent of them will watch mobile videos this year.

"Buongiorno's ability to create special TV formats
designed for video phones is now optimized by Inventa's creative and production
abilities," said Luca Pagano, the MD of Buongiorno U.K. "The U.K. is
one of the most advanced markets in the world for new media and this
acquisition confirms Buongiorno's drive to innovate and its commitment to play
a leading role in the booming market for mobile video and TV."
