BT Inks VOD Deal with Lionsgate

LONDON, October 6: A slate of features from the Lionsgate
library, including Dirty Dancing and Reservoir
Dogs, will be made available on a VOD basis
on BT’s next-generation TV service, BT Vision, which launches this fall.

Other titles in the deal include Jeepers Creepers, Open Water, The Gift,
Dune and the Oscar-winning documentary
One Day in September. “This is another
great deal which ensures that BT Vision customers will be able to access yet
more classic films,” said Dan Marks, the CEO of BT Vision. “This agreement with
Lionsgate shows that our commitment to bring the best and most varied
entertainment is continuing unabated.”

At launch, BT Vision customers will be able to access film,
music and television programming on-demand, as well as interactive services and
all the Freeview channels. Among the other content providers to the service are
Dreamworks, BBC Worldwide, Paramount, National Geographic Channel, HIT
Entertainment, Turner Broadcasting and Entertainment Rights, among others.
