Bruce Dover Tapped as Chief Executive of Australia Network

SYDNEY, July 19: Bruce Dover will take over the position of
chief executive at Australia Network, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s
international television service to Asia, the Pacific and the Indian
sub-continent, on August 6, based in Sydney.

In his new position, Dover
succeeds Ian Carroll, who was appointed ABC’s director of innovation earlier
this year, and will report to Murray Green, the director of ABC International.

Throughout his career as a
journalist, editor and business executive, Dover has held senior appointments
in print, television and new media. He has worked for several Australian and
international media companies based in Asia, and his activities in the region
have included executive roles with News Corporation and CNN.
