CANNES/TORONTO: Production has wrapped on Anti Social, an indie horror movie that Breakthrough Entertainment plans to showcase at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Anti Social takes place during a New Year’s Eve house party, where attendees are told to barricade themselves inside due to the outbreak of a virus that is spreading around the world. The movie is produced by Breakthrough Entertainment in collaboration with Black Fawn Films. It will screen during the Cannes Film Festival at Riviera 1 on Saturday, May 18 at 10:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday, May 21 at 10 a.m.

Marina Cordoni, the VP of movies for Breakthrough Entertainment, remarked: "We are pleased to announce the completion of production for our first new movie production of the year, Anti Social and to bring this unique title to Cannes. Anti Social represents Breakthrough’s commitment to diversity in our slate and commitment to talented emerging filmmakers. Anti Social is a quality production and truly delivers for horror buffs. This is the kind of film that will grow exponentially through strong viral exposure and word of mouth."
