Brand Licensing Europe Searches for The Next Big Thing

LONDON: Brand Licensing Europe has announced the four entrepreneurs who will compete in the 2010 License This! This Next Big Thing competition.

All four will pitch their projects to a judging panel in front of a live audience on September 30. The panel will then decide which concept has the best potential for an extensive licensing program. The winner will receive a fully furnished stand at next year’s event.

"It was not an easy task, as we received many applications from all over the world, featuring a huge cross section of content," said Helen McAleer, the managing director of Walker Books and chairman of the judging panel. "The four ideas we selected all had something a little unusual and very appealing about them. We could see how licensing could play an important part in their future development and I am looking forward to hearing their creators’ pitches."

Among the projects selected is BondiBand, an animated series starring a rock band with very special musical instruments, from Exim Licensing Group and Ledafilms.
