Bob 4-D Feature Set to Premiere at LEGOLAND Parks

NEW
YORK, November 18: HIT Entertainment and Merlin Entertainments Group have
commissioned Bob the Builder in 4-D: Bob
the Builder and the Roller Coaster
, a ten-minute animated special that will
air in LEGOLAND family theme parks worldwide beginning in March.

Produced
by SD Entertainment and Threshold Animation Studios, the movie premieres at
LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND Windsor in the U.K. in March, followed by
LEGOLAND parks in Denmark and Germany and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers in April. Bob the Builder and the Roller Coaster
will air in LEGOLAND theaters daily. In the movie, Bob and his Can-Do Crew use
LEGO DUPLO bricks to build a roller coaster prototype before embarking on the
real thing.

The
ten-minute film, exclusive to LEGOLAND for one year in the U.K., U.S., Germany
and Denmark, uses 3-D CG animation with special glasses and special effects for
a 4-D effect. The film will use animation developed by SD Entertainment and
exclusive 3-D stereoscopic technology from Threshold Animation Studios and IBM.

"LEGOLAND
Parks, with their focus on providing innovative, quality family experiences,
are the perfect home for this new Bob the
Builder
4-D movie," said Gary Krakower, the senior VP of U.S.
licensing and live events at HIT Entertainment. "The groundbreaking
special effects and fresh CG animation provided by SD and Threshold will wow
aspiring builders and their families around the world."
