Blue Ant Media has made key leadership appointments to its recently launched Kids & Global Networks division, led by Ward Platt.

Beatrice Lee has been appointed to a newly created role as CEO of BAM Asia. BAM Asia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Ant Media that operates under the company’s Kids & Global Networks banner. Reporting to Platt, the CEO of Kids & Global Networks, and working from the company’s Singapore office, Lee is tasked with managing and growing international channels Love Nature 4K, ZooMoo, Blue Ant Entertainment and Blue Ant Extreme (formerly RTL CBS Entertainment and RTL CBS Extreme) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Lee previously worked for Aser Group as CEO of its start-up virtual reality company BSI VR. Lee was also managing director for MP & Silva.

Carlyn Staudt has been appointed as the company’s executive VP for Love Nature programming and development. Also reporting to Platt, Staudt will be responsible for leading the global programming strategy of Love Nature’s linear and streaming video platforms internationally, with the exception of North America. Staudt’s role will also include commissioning original content to grow the brand’s library of 4K natural history programming. Operating out of Washington, D.C., she will build and lead a team in the areas of development and production to support Love Nature’s expansion.

Staudt joins the company from National Geographic Partners, where she served as senior VP of global content partnerships and strategic development. Staudt also held numerous leadership roles within the company, notably senior VP of global programming and managing director for National Geographic Channels’ international operations.

Platt said: “Blue Ant Media has experienced transformative growth in 2017 and these additions to our Kids & Global Networks division are important to support the international expansion of our channels business.”
