Bibel TV Hires Super RTL’s Wintersohl as Head of Programming

HAMBURG: Bibel TV has named Sammy Wintersohl as head of programming for the German Christian TV channel, effective at the end of the month.

Wintersohl, who is a theologian with 20 years of experience in the TV industry, is currently the head of prime-time content for Germany’s Super RTL. He joined the RTL Group in 1994, when he started out in the news department and later went on to work on TV formats and prime-time evening programming for Super RTL.

Bibel TV’s CEO, Henning Roehl, said of the appointment: “Sammy Wintersohl has been involved with Bibel TV since its foundation nine years ago. We are pleased to have such a well respected expert join us.”

Wintersohl added: “I am looking forward to the challenges at Bibel TV and the opportunity to actively shape the station. As a theologian and television professional I regard my future activities as very inspiring. ”
