Beyond Announces Post-MIPCOM Deals

SYDNEY, December 12: Planete in Poland is among the broadcasters
that acquired a slate of new titles from Beyond Distribution following MIPCOM.

Planete opted
for Rania: The YouTube Queen, Lonely Planet: Natural Born Traveller
and Out in the Cold Series 2, among
others. In Israel, Ananey Channel took lifestyle fare with From the Ground Up, Chef
School
and The Property Shop.

Deals were also clinched
with DBS Satellite Services Israel, SW Television Finland, Globosat Brazil and
MTV Networks Australia and New Zealand for Sex:
The Revolution
. Rania: The YouTube
Queen
went to Vlaame Media Belgium, TV2 Norway, MTV OY Finland, DBD
Satellite Services Israel and Canal Poland. Mythbusters
continues its global rollout with new deals with Discovery Australia, New
Zealand, Afghanistan, China, East Asia, Mongolia and Pacific Rim; SBS TV
Denmark; Silverbox Ukraine; Sky Network New Zealand; SBS Australia; Dmax
Germany and Cuatro in Spain.

On the kids'
front, Nickelodeon Australia scored a
third season of The Amazing Extraordinary
Friends
, while Disney Australia & New Zealand picked up the second
season of Numberjacks.

Fiona Crago, the general manager of Beyond
Distribution, noted: "Despite the uncertainty of the looming economic
downturn during MIPCOM this year, Beyond experienced a great, productive market
and strong consequent program interest. Our new program slate shaping up for
launch at MIPTV is already very exciting and sure to be just as popular with
