Bejuba! Secures International Distribution Rights to The Zimmer Twins

LOS ANGELES/TORONTO, May 8: Bejuba!
Entertainment has secured the international distribution rights to
Toronto-based zinc Roe Design’s International Interactive Emmy-Award winning animated series The Zimmer Twins.

The series has already been licensed to the Australian
Broadcasting Corporation and is set to air as part of the RollerCoaster block on ABC TV and ABC2, ABC’s free-to-air digital
channel, as well as on the channel’s companion website.

The Zimmer Twins was created by zinc Roe with the support of TELETOON
Canada and the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund. It stars two 13-year-old
psychic twins named Edgar and Eva Zimmer who get into all sorts of mischief. The
Zimmer Twins
is a hybrid on-air and online
series that invites kids to create their own animated stories on the Internet
using an innovative online editing tool and a library of animation. Kids create
their stories by assembling scenes, characters, backgrounds and can even add
their own dialogue. The kids’ stories are then broadcast on television. Since
its debut on TELETOON in March 2005, over 450,000 movies have been created and
the site has more than 250,000 registered users. The site regularly attracts
over 1 million page views per month.

The Zimmer Twins is a series that is ‘the new generation of
television,’” said Tatiana Kober, the president of Bejuba! Entertainment. “This
is genuine interactive television for kids. This series gives broadcasters a
unique opportunity to involve audiences in the creative process and provide a
truly interactive television experience. We are privileged and extremely
excited to be presenting this property as a series which will be localized for
individual broadcasters. The Zimmer Twins gets kids to use their imagination, hone their storytelling skills and
become mini-movie directors!”
