BBC Worldwide Takes On 3rd & Bird

LONDON, March 20: BBC Worldwide has secured
the global TV and merchandising distribution rights to the animated preschool
property 3rd & Bird, which will launch on
CBeebies this fall.

BBC Worldwide’s commercial plans will be
unveiled at key trade fairs throughout the year. Produced by Little Airplane
Productions, creators of The Wonder Pets, 3rd
& Bird is set within a community of birds that
live, learn and play in the branches of a beautiful tree. The series uses
photo-puppetry animation, and has been written and researched in both the U.K.
and the U.S., led by Josh Selig, the creator and founder of Little Airplane.

The director of children’s for BBC Worldwide,
Gill Pritchard, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Little Airplane on
