BBC Worldwide Inks Deals on New Kids’ Shows

LONDON, October 30: BBC Worldwide has announced several new
sales on two of its newest kids’ properties: The Secret Show from Collingwood O’Hare and Charlie and
Lola
from Tiger Aspect.

The Secret Show has
recently sold to broadcasters in France, Hong Kong, Finland, Russia and the
Middle East, bringing the total of TV partners to 13. It will also start airing on Virgin transatlantic flights
from December 1. Aimed at the 7 to 12 set, the animation follows special agents
Victor Volt and Anita Knight, who work for U.Z.Z, protecting the world against
the evil forces of T.H.E.M.

Charlie and Lola,
based on the books by Lauren Child, has been licensed to three further
broadcasters: IRIB in Iran, TVB in Hong Kong and Playhouse Disney in Spain. The
preschool animation has now been sold to 33 countries.

Other recent sales include Snow Queen to Al Jazeera’s children’s channel and World
of Peter Rabbit & Friends
and Tale
of Peter Rabbit & Beatrix Potter
to
Momo TV in Taiwan.
