MUNICH, July 13: Bavaria Media Television has announced new broadcast deals in Eastern Europe for its telenovela Storm
Of Love
, which has
now been sold into 14 territories.

Bavaria
Media Television has concluded new deals with Vizion Plus in Albania, TV3 in
Slovenia, Diema Plus in Bulgaria and Macedonia and the new Czech channel TV
Barrandov. Negotiations are still underway with broadcasters in Hungary,
Poland, Serbia and Bosnia.

Storm of Love has
been broadcast on
Latvia’s LTV, Estonia’s TV3, Lithuania’s TV3 and Slovakia’s Slovenska
Televizia, garnering market shares of more than 25 percent. Storm Of Love has also been licensed into Italy,
Austria and Canada. Production companies from Greece and Turkey have acquired
the format rights for the creation of local versions.

Bavaria
Media Television hopes that the second instalment of Storm of Love, entitled Tempest of Love, will fare as well. The distributor
is hoping to secure additional deals this fall at MIPCOM.

“By now
every broadcaster who is airing Storm Of Love has acquired all 313 episodes of the first
instalment,” said Oliver Kreuter, the head of distribution with Bavaria Media
Television. “It is amazing, but Storm of Love is a success wherever it is being broadcast
and is able to perform well in the most diverse markets.”
