BabyTV Heads to Cablemàs

LOS ANGELES/BUENOS AIRES: FOX International Channels’ BabyTV is expanding its presence in Mexico with a launch on the cable operator Cablemàs.

The channel, available in both English and Spanish, is already available in Cablevision’s programming lineup, on SKY Mexico and DISH Mexico. BabyTV is distributed by Fox International in Latin America, and by FOX Global Networks in the U.S., along with additional channels FOX Deportes, Utilisima, and Nat Geo Mundo. The channel, which airs in 17 languages, has carriage in more than 400 affiliate platforms in 100 countries worldwide. It features a 24/7 schedule of short-form episodes that explore early learning themes with an emphasis on parent-child interaction.

Maya Talit, the affiliate sales and marketing director of BabyTV, said: “BabyTV has experienced a strong and steady growth in Mexico and the Americas where parents are looking for quality kids content that they can share in both Spanish and English. We are extremely pleased to be extending the channel onto the Cablemàs platform. We are also in the process of signing up licensees to retail BabyTV products in stores across LatAm and hope to begin retailing in these in the coming months.”
