BabyFirst Grows Asian Presence

LOS ANGELES, March 18:
BabyFirst, a 24/7 commercial-free channel dedicated to babies and toddlers,
will launch on Chunghwa, an IPTV provider in Taiwan.

The feed, which will come
from the TELSTAR 10 satellite, will be in both Mandarin and English. This deal
follows on a recent agreement signed in Korea with an IPTV operator. The
channel has also closed carriage deals in Canada with Rogers Cable and Bell
ExpressVu and France with Canal Sat. BabyFirst is also available in the U.K. on
BSkyB, as well as in Central America and the Caribbean.

“We are extremely pleased
to join with the Chunghwa, a prestigious and trendsetting leader in Taiwan’s
impressive IPTV platform,” said Glenn Kopelson, the executive VP of
distribution for BabyFirst. “Taiwan is an important market with significant
family values, and we are delighted to partner with the market’s prominent
provider.”
