AXN to Air U.S. Version of The Voice in Asia

SINGAPORE: The Voice, which has been atop the ratings heap on NBC, is to debut in Southeast Asia on AXN, reaching 97 million households.

Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia has picked up the show for AXN to air later in the year, launching on the general-entertainment channel across 22 countries. The series, based on Talpa Media’s hit Dutch format, is hosted by Carson Daly and features Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as coaches. The Voice is still airing in its first season on NBC, garnering a 5.1 rating/13 share among adults 18 to 49.
