Australia’s ABC TV Taps New Executive Head of Children’s

SYDNEY, August
28: Tim Brooke-Hunt has been tapped to fill the newly created role of executive
head of children’s at ABC TV in Australia, effective September 12.

Working with some of Australia’s leading production
companies, including Beyond International, New World Pictures and Burbank
Films, Brooke-Hunt has produced well-known Australian children’s programs such
as Blinky Bill, Yakkity
Yak
, Old Tom and L’il Horrors. He most recently served as an
independent children’s TV producer and executive producer.

join the network,” said Kim Dalton, the ABC’s director of television.
“Children’s television is core to the ABC’s operations and Tim will bring a
passionate commitment to diverse and quality production and programming. Our
programming for children must also now be offered across a variety of platforms
and devices and Tim will ensure that ABC TV continues to lead the way with
children’s television in Australia.”
