AT&T Inks Olympics Deal with NBC

DALLAS, July 16: AT&T
has scored a “three-screen” deal with NBC Universal, allowing it to provide its
customers with coverage from next month’s Beijing Olympics via TV sets, PCs and
mobile devices.

"Consumers today expect
to be able to access great content when and where they want it, and no content
is more compelling than the Olympic Games," said Dan York, the head of
content and programming at AT&T. "AT&T is the only place to see
NBC's live Olympic Games coverage on all three screens that matter the most to
consumers today."

"NBCU's coverage of
the Beijing Games is providing our customers with a unique multiscreen
opportunity," added Bridget Baker, the president of TV networks
distribution at NBC Universal. "AT&T's Olympic plans are part of an
exciting and differentiated way of seeing the games as never before."

On the wireless front,
beginning August 8, AT&T Mobile TV customers will be able to watch
around-the-clock NBC coverage of the Olympics, including live competition
footage, via the NBC Olympics 2Go mobile TV channel.

AT&T U-verse TV
customers will have access to on-demand content from the games, including 15 to
20 events per day, as well as a daily wrap-up. Also available will be memorable
moments from past games, athlete features, Beijing previews and more. U-verse
customers will also have access to a new NBC Olympics Interactive feature,
offering the latest headlines, live Olympic Games programming, a medal tracker
and bios of Team USA athletes.

AT&T U-verse TV has
also expanded its HD channel lineup under the new agreement with NBC Universal,
adding USA HD, SCI FI HD, Bravo HD and CNBC HD to NBC HD and Universal HD on
its pay-TV platform. AT&T U-verse TV will also offer NBC Universal's VOD
content, and AT&T U-verse OnTheGo customers will be able to access CNBC,
MSNBC and NBC Universal short-form channels.

On broadband, meanwhile,
AT&T High Speed Internet customers who visit the AT&T home page will be
able to access NBC Olympics on-demand content, as well as download interactive
widgets from NBCOlympics.com. Beginning August 8, more than 20 live feeds
covering a variety of the most popular Olympic sports will be available to
AT&T High Speed Internet subscribers on NBCOlympics.com.
