TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats has secured a new licensing deal for its factual-entertainment series Connected with the MTV channel SUB in Finland.

The format of the Israeli series will be produced by Moskito and is set to air in spring 2012. The local title is Iholla, and it will run daily in prime time with 40 episodes scheduled. There are currently four international productions of Connected in the works. Strix will produce a version for TV2 in Denmark.

Connected features five women (or five men), ranging from 16 to 45 years old, who don’t know each other, but whose lives become connected thematically in the series. Season four in Israel is currently in pre-production. It airs on HOT and is produced by Koda Communications.

“The Finnish broadcast this spring is symbolic of the transition the participants will experience through this experience, and is meant to capture the birth of new life, spontaneous new love, the pursuit of dreams, the resolution of complex family relationships,” said Toni Flyckt, the director of programs for SUB. "In Connected, these twists and turns of life are not scripted, but the real truth."

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, added, "We’re excited to partner with Moskito and SUB on bringing Connected to the Finnish audience, and commend our partners on their adaptation, which retains the raw and exposed—and completely magnetic—viewing experience as the original. We’re confident that Iholla will be SUB’s fresh breakout series of the spring."
