Armoza Picks Up Israeli Series

TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats has taken on the international distribution rights for the Israeli series The Ran Quadruplets, which was commissioned for a pilot in the U.S. last month by CBS.

The 29×40-minute show, produced by July-August Productions, airs on Israel’s Yes Stars channel. It was also picked up by Israeli commercial broadcaster Channel 2. The drama follows a family of quadruplets—three males and one female. They have been in the public eye since birth, and the doc series chronicles the quads every eight years to allow the nation to follow their lives. They are now 32 years old.

The U.S. pilot is being produced for CBS under the title Quinn-tuplets. The pilot will be produced by Mike Kelley (Swingtown), alongside the original The Ran Quadruplets producers, Giyora Yahalom, Oren Jakobi, Yona Wiesenthal and Eilon Ratzkovsky.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, said, "The Ran Quadruplets is family drama at its best. There has never before been a show that has so accurately captured the phenomenon and the emotional crises of multiple-birth siblings. Filmed as a documentary, The Ran Quadruplets feels like a gritty, thrilling and, best of all, real look into the lives of others—there’s no better drama than that."
