TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats has inked a broadcast deal with Radio Television Suisse (RTS) for its game-show format Upgrade.

RTS will produce a Swiss version of Upgrade slated for a November launch. The Swiss personality Sarkis will host the game show, to be known as Ca Déménage, which will air weekly on Saturdays. The format airs on Norway’s TV2 and Canada’s V channel, both currently in production for season two. Armoza Formats has also recently signed new deals for Upgrade in the U.S., Belgium, Holland, Russia and India.

Upgrade challenges families and roommates to play for the chance to upgrade old household items such as slow-running computers and outdated bedroom sets, with correct answers resulting in new products. But if the contestants fail, they’ll be left without any products when the items are carted away.

Thierry Ventouras, the head of entertainment at RTS, said, "Upgrade is the perfect format to literally bring TV in the homes of our viewers, and will allow us to explore all of the beautiful regions of Switzerland through our roving crew. The Swiss version will be funny and educational and will celebrate the local cultures in our country."

Armoza Formats’ CEO, Avi Armoza, commented, "We’re very pleased to finalize our first format broadcast in Switzerland. Part of the appeal of Upgrade is its voyage into the homes of the nation’s people, and in a country as diverse and lovely as Switzerland, it is sure to be a fascinating adaptation."
